Rooms with fixed desktop computers are static and immobile, and prevent networked, agile, and problem-based instruction. Here are 10 reasons not to use classic computer rooms:

  1. Autonomy is defined in the taking of responsibility in relation to equipment and software.
  2. In creative projects, all the tools and apps required are rarely known in advance and can be made available. It should be possible to set up and use tools and apps on a situational and ad-hoc basis.
  3. Full responsibility and autonomy mean having complete freedom of design processes in the learning environment. Mistakes are part of the learning culture. Maximum rights to the hardware and software mean that users must have admin rights, and a versioning concept allows errors and makes them easy to correct.
